Lid Lift

From the office of Homeland Security: 1 out of every 2 Ryan sisters believes the lady on the left needs a lid lift.

This bar is like a house party.

You can't tell, but I have a very tall man on my lap. On his lap is Lisa.

Danny's

We like to joke around about how far Wicker Park is from us. I'm sure Erin is sick of me and Leah asking her to be our guide and where to get our passport stamped. It's really only a few miles away. What makes it seem so far is that you have to transfer whether you take the bus or the L. Here's are pictures from a place called Danny's on Dickens and Damen.

St. Patrick's Day

As a nurse, it's normal to work a 12 hour shift. That's an industry standard these days. A 12 hour shift of drinking? No normal. But it's Chicago! It's St. Patrick's Day. No wonder the Shamrock Shuffle is never on the same weekend the Chicago River is dyed green. There would be no runners. So I'm sharing the pictures.

Believe it or not. I'm friends with the Bubble Gum champ of Iowa!

Bricks

Dinner at Bricks on Lincoln with the pals. I made them look at my Hawaii pictures on my iPod. Sat through the narration and let me repeat stories I told earlier.

After party

Good times at the wedding. Chau and Viet, the happy couple, crashed out. I thought Chau was in the room packing or something while Viet waited for her on the couch. Only I found Chau under the covers sleeping like a drunk baby. So I took their camera and captured the moment.

Soar Like Eagles

Platinum is heavier

Scott and Ronnie battle of wits. According to the periodic table, Platinum is heavier than Tungsten. Sorry Scotty.

Wedding

Little Maya. So cute. She refused to throw her petals down on the ground. Good job Dylan for trying to help your sis. I have a great picture of Maya throwing petals after the ceremony. So cute.

Doesn't it look like Scott is marrying a dude?

Pinata

There is a shortage of Mexican goods in Hawaii. For the groom, Ronnie and I tried to buy a pinata from 2 or 3 Mexican restaurants in Waikiki. (The dragon head lantern available in Chinatown might not have been a hit for Scott's Buddhist family.) A "couple hundred" for a sad looking pinata of Jose Cuervo tequila was not worth it. So we thought we'd try and make one using a beach ball, tissue paper, and hair spray. No such luck.

Pearl Harbour

Got caught in a downpour at Pearl Harbour. Lost my Havaiana in a puddle by the rental car. Look at us all wet. Funny thing, it stopped raining as soon as we got in the car. Chau said Viet had a knack for good timing. I love her sarcasm.

Manoa Falls

We had a hell of a time going to a waterfall. Any waterfall. Almost got ticketed for going down a one way lane for buses only. Our asses were saved and almost kicked for all being from Texas. No illegals here. Let's leave it at that.

We chose Manoa Falls. Took about 30 minutes to walk up and through muddy terrain.

The best thing heard was:
Roderick: Is there even traction on those shoes?
Kathy: No. They're just cute.

Which way to dick bar?

Mahalo, Come Again

I took a picture with Erin carrying my leg one night out in Sydney.

Had to do it again in Hawaii.
