Venetian Night

After a crazy cab ride down Lake Shore Drive

Free

This street fest overall was worth the $5 "donation." I have to qualify that statement...you basically have to pay because the people at the gate make you feel like a bad human being for not forking over the cash. But we got free samples of steak...like serious chunks of meat. The 4 of us double dipped and went back for more, hoping the meat lady didn't notice. Even I thought it was good...and I am a recovering vegetarian!

It's bigger than Ireland

This is just part of the design...The Henna artist said these suckers will last about 2 weeks...Erin inner wrist is so fair skinned, I think it will last longer. It's actually very kids friendly. PERFECT for all pediatric nurses!

Tatoos

Leah got "Tiger" on her ankle just like an Asian gangster should!

For only $5 I got a design thingy on my arm...As Megan suggested, I should have picked the barbed wire a la Pam Anderson.

Erin got this rediculously gigantic celtic symbol on her inner wrist.

Wicker Park Fest

HOLY SWEETYELLOWCORN BATMAN!!! How can you deny a sweet piece of corn like that?! And for only $2. We ate the funnel cake faster than I could snap a picture, but take my word for it...it was hella good.

Akira

"Anyway, last night was fun. We went to the Akira party on North Ave and got rock star...or in the spirit of the music playing, DJ Paul Oakenfold treatment so didn't have to slum it in the drinks line. I would definitely order a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza - red of course, at Piece as long as the next stop is Danny's in which my vodka tonic can extinguish the fire in my stomach. "

Piece

The jalapeno and pepperoni pizza was really good. Leah and Erin are fighting over it.

It looks like we're one big Oreo.

Good times here, but the next morning is always rough if you have to work.

Taste of Watermelon

Doesn't this look good?! Only $5 for a slice of watermelon at the Domincks stand at the Taste of Chicago. I only had an hour and a half to eat 14 tickets worth of food...and I think I did a good job.
